In my area, Shen Yun is heavily advertised. Apparently some very acrobatic Chinese themed dances, implying a centuries old culture. Suddenly, in the last couple of days, a switch. Emphasis that the troupe is U.S. based, actually NYC, and not from China. I imagine the corona virus scare could cause people to not see the performance. It must be very profitable, as I have already received multiple glossy mailings to buy tickets over the last several months.

This got me to check out local showing prices. For one day, range of $80 to $180, plus $8 ticket fee. It is a two hour performance. But considering my resistance level at paying $12 for a senior matinee movie ticket, I am not likely to go.
