Hi and welcome to the forum, it's good to see you! To answer your question...yes, parrots need to have some seeds in their diet daily. Approximately 1/3 of their daily intake should be a good seed mix which will provide them with the essential oils & other nutrients they cannot get from pellets or fresh foods.
I give my birds fresh foods morning & evening but we also keep small bowls of pellets and seeds available to them at all times. This way they can nibble on their favorites if they get hungry between meals. I have one parrot that wants to munch on pellets after he's put into his sleeping cage at night but nibbles on seeds during the day, but we also have another parrot who wants seeds at night & munches on pellets throughout the day.
I would also recommend that you give your bird a good cooked food in addition to one of her daily fresh foods. Something like Birdy Banquet or Beak Appetit, which can be made up in advance & frozen, will give her the additional nutrients she needs plus they just love some warm food in with the fresh. My birds get it with their breakfast of sliced fruits & veggies and they just plow through it!
Good luck with your new baby!
